IT DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATE
JOB DESCRIPTION:
DMG S.p.A., a company specializing in the production of electromechanical components and control panels for elevators, is expanding its technical team and is looking for an experienced IT System Administrator to work on the internal infrastructure, contributing to the management, reliability, and security of the company systems.
You will join a highly specialized technical environment, working on IT infrastructure, systems, and security to support critical platforms and services.

REPORTS TO: IT Department Manager
WORKING HOURS: Full time
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Provide IT technical support for company custom systems and applications on Windows/Linux platforms
- Respond to hardware and software system failures or malfunctions
- Manage troubleshooting and system optimization activities, supporting the resolution of IT issues (system crashes, data loss, viruses, performance degradation, loss of functionality, hardware failures, etc.) to restore normal operations
- Inspect, maintain, install, configure, and fine-tune both legacy and new hardware equipment (PCs, servers, peripherals, active and passive network devices, firewalls, NAS, SAN, UPS, etc.) and related software applications
- Inspect, maintain, install, configure, and optimize basic and advanced network services (user management, access control, email management, web servers, FTP servers, proxy servers, internet, endpoints)
- Provide technical support to users for remote access
- Monitor and analyze server, appliance, SIEM, and firewall logs, identifying and resolving critical issues
- Update Microsoft platforms / client and server systems / virtual machines / firewalls / switches / antivirus / NAS / SAN / backup solutions, and other devices related to the proper operation of the data center (CED) and disaster recovery systems (DRS)
- Manage IT service tickets and requests
- Participate in the development and improvement of the company’s information systems
- Report potential critical issues, deficiencies, or hardware/software faults to the IT Manager
- Manage and verify corporate data backup operations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary company teams (IT, Engineering, Quality, Production, etc.)
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and technological solutions
- Technical diploma in Computer Science or a degree in Electronic / Computer Engineering
- At least 1 year of experience in an IT role
- Excellent knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Skills in managing IT networks (routers, firewalls, switches, network protocols, remote connections)
- Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT security practices
- Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, precision, analytical approach, and ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks
- Good knowledge of technical English
- Willingness to travel within Italy during the year
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g., .NET, C++, PHP)
- Experience in database management
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure environment
- Familiarity with AI systems
- Possession of relevant technological certifications
- Previous experience in an ISO 27001 certified company
