LIFT EXPO ITALIA 2026 was a valuable opportunity for DMG to meet the people who shape the elevator industry every day: long-standing customers, partners, installers, maintenance professionals and new industry contacts.
Across three days, one topic remained at the heart of our conversations: how to make existing elevators better, smarter and more valuable through the right modernization choices.
For DMG, modernization is not simply about replacing old components. It is about understanding the existing installation, identifying what needs to evolve and choosing solutions that can deliver tangible benefits — for elevator companies, installers, maintenance teams and, ultimately, end users.

At LIFT EXPO ITALIA, we presented a range of technologies and solutions designed to support this approach — from controllers and intelligent displays to new interfaces and installation-friendly solutions.

AMIGO SYSTEM : a practical response to the 2G transition
The third day of LIFT EXPO ITALIA brought this concept to life with the live presentation and demonstration of AMIGO SYSTEM.
The transition from legacy 2G networks to newer communication technologies is becoming a concrete challenge for existing elevator installations. Communication systems that have worked reliably for years now need to evolve as network infrastructures change.

AMIGO provides a 4G-based communication and connectivity platform for new and existing lifts, combining emergency communication, intercom and connectivity in a modular and scalable solution, now also incorporating VoiP technology.
The live demonstration gave visitors the opportunity to see the system in operation and discuss its technical and practical implications directly with the DMG team.
It is a good example of what we mean when we talk about modernization.
Modernization isn’t always about changing everything. Sometimes, it means identifying what needs to evolve — and taking the right step at the right time.
Sharing the journey with our partners
LIFT EXPO ITALIA was also an opportunity to celebrate the value of collaboration within the elevator industry.
We were particularly pleased to share the exhibition experience with BEG, our sister company, which was exhibiting alongside DMG.
The presence of both companies provided an opportunity to highlight the broader expertise and solutions available within our group, while reinforcing something we strongly believe in: the future of the elevator industry is built through collaboration, shared expertise and long-term relationships.
